About Traci Skuce
"Traci’s devotion to, knowledge and practice of Iyengar Yoga is evident in her quality of person
and genuine care for her students. Her close observations, carefully crafted words and
thoughtful re-direction lead to your own body’s awareness, alignment and movement."
- Alisen R., M.Ed
Traci Skuce discovered Iyengar Yoga in Victoria in 1996. At the time, she was a single mother to her first born son. Fortunately, she lived close to the YM/YWCA where she began taking classes. First she did one class a week. Then two. Then three. Clearly, she was hooked.
Soon she began the teacher training program. Over those years, the learning was exponential, the study intense and enjoyable. She fell in love with teaching and continues to enjoy it today.
In 1999, she met her husband. The newly formed family moved to Cumberland where Traci continued her study of Iyengar Yoga with Vicky Catchpole. Traci still attends workshops and classes with Vicky where her knowledge and understanding of yoga deepens.
Traci also studies with various Senior Iyengar teachers at workshops and week-long intensives. These workshops/intensive feed her passion for yoga which she, in turn, offers up to her students.
Now mother to two boys, ages 17 and 9, Traci integrates yoga into her daily life -- on and off the mat, in and out of class!
